Hermitage Blanc La Chapelle Jaboulet 2012 is a varietal Marsanne sourced from the slopes of Les Bessards and Maison Blanche within the Hermitage AOC. This wine was aged for 10 to 12 months in French oak barrels with only 20% new wood to maintain the varietal`s primary aromatic profile. The finished wine is defined by its substantial dry extract and viscous texture. On the palate, it displays a characteristic profile of honeysuckle, acacia and roasted nuts with an underlying bitterness that provides structural balance and length.

Vinous
(all marsanne, from Rocoules): Bright yellow. Intensely perfumed aromas of poached pear, sweet butter, chamomile and iodine, with a sexy floral nuance emerging with aeration. Rich but lively and precise on the palate, offering deeply concentrated orchard and citrus fruit flavors and a touch of toastiness. Dusty minerals sharpen the finish, which lingers with outstanding tenacity and gentle sweetness. For such a powerful wine, it leaves a surprising impression of elegance.Josh Raynolds1st March 2014
