Established in 1952, Château Haut-Marbuzet is a family-owned estate situated within the Saint-Estèphe appellation. The 1982 Château Haut-Marbuzet is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon playing a dominant role, supported by Merlot and a small percentage of Cabernet Franc. This vintage is considered to be one of the better vintages from the estate, known for its elegance, complexity, and balance. Expect some tertiary notes, such as leather, truffle, and forest floor.

From pristinely preserved bottles and larger formats, the 1982 Haut-Marbuzet continues to offer immensely compelling drinking today, wafting from the glass with an exotic bouquet of blackberries, dried fruits, black truffles, mocha, cigar box and rich soil tones. Medium to full-bodied, supple and concentrated, with an enveloping core of fruit, ripe acids and a long, sapid finish, it is an utterly delicious wine.William Kelley30th December 2022

Corked bottle. Bright dark red. Exotic, Burgundian aromas of sappy, candied cherry, violet pastille and toffee, with a distinctive high-toned sweetness. Rich, layered and sexy; conveys the impression of a bit of residual sugar. But harmonious, ripe acids give the fruit plenty of verve. This exotic bottle offers lovely retention of fruit. Finishes with ripe, sweet tannins and very good length.Stephen Tanzer1st July 2002
