Hakushu 21 Year Old Owner`s Cask WJ41698 (Bottled 2006) 1984 is a single cask Japanese whisky crafted at Suntory’s Hakushu Distillery, located in the Japanese Alps. Distilled in 1984 and bottled in 2006, this expression showcases the distillery’s approach to wood management and expression development through 21 years of maturation in a hogshead at 56% ABV. The profile reveals aromas of crisp Green Apple and menthol, complemented by layers of wood smoke and a subtle mineral character, attributed to the granite-filtered water unique to this region. Serving as a benchmark for mid-1980s mountain malt production, this release reflects a singular artisanal perspective within Suntory`s premium offerings.
