`Château-Grillet 2011 is a full-bodied, oak-aged white wine produced from 100% Viognier in the monopole of Château-Grillet in the northern Rhône valley. Château-Grillet is a celebrated white wine appellation in the northern Rhône. Neighbouring Condrieu, it produces ageworthy and highly sought-after wines exclusively from Viognier grapes. All the wines of the Château Grillet appellation are produced at the château itself.
Jancis Robinson
There are four barrels of the 2018 Condrieu, a wine that was first made in 2017 from a recently purchased 0.25-hectare parcel that adjoined the existing property. It shows more intensity and apricot fruit than the Côtes du Rhône, being full-bodied on the palate. It's lush and creamy, but does it fade just a little quickly on the finish? The vines are only 15-20 years old.Joe Czerwinski19th December 2019
