Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste 1993 is a mature-vintage, Cabernet Sauvignon-based red wine from the Pauillac appellation of Bordeaux. This celebrated Fifth Growth property is now under the ownership of François-Xavier Borie, under whom consistency and quality has increased notably. The château now enjoys a reputation as a producer of excellent, yet classical, Left Bank Bordeaux. "This dark ruby/purple-coloured wine offers a fragrant weedy, cassis-and-tobacco-scented nose as well as a sexy combination of rich cassis fruit and glycerin. Medium to full bodied, with low acidity, excellent ripeness, and a luscious mouth-feel, this is a delicious, hedonistic style of Grand-Puy-Lacoste for drinking over the next 7-8 years." Robert Parker, 1998
