Château Grand-Puy Ducasse 2010 is a full-bodied Cabernet-Sauvignon-based red wine produced in the Pauillac appellation of Bordeaux. Grand-Puy Ducasse is a Fifth Growth Pauillac property still somewhat flying under the radar in relation to other more illustrious properties that it counts as neighbours. The 40 hectares of vineyards of Grand-Puy Ducasse are planted to 63% Cabernet Sauvignon and 37% Merlot, producing a structured and complex Pauillac with very good ageing potential. "A wine with blueberry and chocolate with hints of hazelnut. Full body, with velvety tannins and a polished finish. This is intense yet very fine. Very pretty young Bordeaux." James Suckling, 2013

Rich plum colour as it clocks into 16 years old, with clear depth to the flavours, black chocolate, espresso, cocoa bean, still a little angular around the edges, campfire smoke that beginning to sink into the structure. Denis Dubourdieu consultant. This was Anne le Naour's first vintage, arriving from the Bernard Magrez group. 30% new oak.Jane Anson26th March 2026

Deep garnet colored, the 2010 Grand-Puy-Ducasse gives up notes of blackcurrant pastilles, prunes and fruitcake with wafts of espresso and oolong tea. Medium to full-bodied, the palate has very good fruit concentration, with a firm, grainy texture and seamless freshness, finishing long and earthy.Lisa Perrotti-Brown5th March 2020

Poured from magnum, the 2010 Grand-Puy Ducasse offers fresh brambly red fruit tones and far more mineralité/terroir expression compared to older vintages poured at this tasting. The oak here feels more integrated. The palate is well defined and quintessentially Pauillac, with admirable focus, a crunchy texture and graphite notes toward the finish. This is well worth seeking out. Tasted at the Grand-Puy Ducasse event in London.Neal Martin25th March 2025
