The Gracia vineyard spans just over two hectares in Saint-Émilion, and the wines are crafted in a compact winery, essentially a garage tucked away in an alley in Saint-Emilion town. The vineyard`s planting aligns with regional proportions, predominantly featuring around 80% Merlot, with nearly all of the remaining vines dedicated to Cabernet Franc. A small section is reserved for Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2010 vintage presents a nose filled with dark and red berries, complemented by well-integrated oak. The palate mirrors these impressions, exhibiting exquisite acidity and tannins. This is a modernly crafted and beautiful wine.
92 Robert Parker
Deep garnet colored, the 2010 Gracia opens with notes of sweaty leather, smoked meats and tapenade over a core of baked plums, fruitcake and potpourri. Full-bodied, the palate has a racy line and firm, chewy tannins supporting the evolved, earthy fruit, finishing a little drying, tart and rustic. - Lisa Perrotti-Brown
91 Vinous
The 2010 Gracia has a deep blackberry and briary scented bouquet with touches of fig and dates, maybe just a little over-mature compared to others. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, a little gamey in style with juniper and allspice towards the chewy finish. This is just opening for business (but it's far from an almost perfect wine.) Tasted blind at Farr Vintners 10-Year On Bordeaux horizontal.
15.5 Jancis Robinson
Blackish crimson. Overripe notes on the nose. Very glossy and seductive on the palate with some saltiness. It almost tastes Argentinean! A bit tough and bitter on the finish. This is almost very good and certainly has a lovely long finish. Very modern, slightly exaggerated style with drying tannins on the finish. (JR)
