Glenfiddich 35 Year Old 1963 is a Highland single malt whisky, distilled during a pivotal year for the distillery, as it entered the global market with its Straight Malt offering. Aged in a mix of Sherry and Bourbon casks, this expression reflects the maturation methods of the mid-20th century. Released in the late 1990s at 43% ABV, it reveals aromas of dried apricots, honeyed malt, soft oak spice, and waxy citrus. The whisky presents a refined palate, showcasing the depth and structural elegance achieved through 35 years of maturation in the cool conditions of Dufftown. This vintage epitomises the distillery`s pioneering spirit in the single malt category.

The World's Favourite Single Malt

Founded in Dufftown in 1886 by William Grant, the first whisky ran off the stills at Glenfiddich on Christmas Day in 1887. The distillery is located in the glen of the river Fiddich, a name derived from the Scottish Gaelic Gleann Fhiodhiach or "valley of the deer". Now one of the most famous and best selling single malts in the world, Glenfiddich made their name producing an easy drinking, mellower style of Scottish whisky, epitomised by their iconic 12 year old.

Beyond the core range, a series of limited edition single cask bottlings showcase the age-worthiness of Glenfiddich while a series of experimental bottlings demonstrate the team are not afraid of progress and innovation - see Glenfiddich Orchard Experiment, which is finished in ex-English apple brandy casks and Glenfiddich IPA Finish, which spends time maturing in casks that previously held India Pale Ale.
