The Glenfiddich 12-Year-Old American Oak is a single malt Scotch whisky that has been entirely matured in ex-bourbon American oak barrels, differing from the distillery`s classic expression which often sees European oak. This maturation choice lends the whisky a lighter, brighter profile, with prominent notes of vanilla, toasted marshmallow, coconut shavings and fresh pear. The palate is approachable, sweet and crisp, offering a creamy texture and a medium-length finish that highlights the delicate, fruit-forward nature of the Glenfiddich spirit.

The World's Favourite Single Malt

Founded in Dufftown in 1886 by William Grant, the first whisky ran off the stills at Glenfiddich on Christmas Day in 1887. The distillery is located in the glen of the river Fiddich, a name derived from the Scottish Gaelic Gleann Fhiodhiach or "valley of the deer". Now one of the most famous and best selling single malts in the world, Glenfiddich made their name producing an easy drinking, mellower style of Scottish whisky, epitomised by their iconic 12 year old.

Beyond the core range, a series of limited edition single cask bottlings showcase the age-worthiness of Glenfiddich while a series of experimental bottlings demonstrate the team are not afraid of progress and innovation - see Glenfiddich Orchard Experiment, which is finished in ex-English apple brandy casks and Glenfiddich IPA Finish, which spends time maturing in casks that previously held India Pale Ale.
