Aged for 58 Years, Glenfarclas 58 Year Old Family Cask 2358 1956 is a single malt Scotch whisky from the Glenfarclas distillery, established in 1836 in Speyside, Scotland. This release, from one of the oldest vintages in the Family Cask series, was matured in a single sherry butt and bottled at a natural cask strength of 47.5% ABV. The whisky displays an intricate profile of black truffles, dark chocolate, and polished mahogany, shaped by decades of maturation. The interaction with sherry-seasoned oak has created a spirit that blends richness with layers of sweet, dried fruit, culminating in a lengthy balsamic finish characteristic of Glenfarclas`s 1950s productions.

A Family Owned Distillery

Glenfarclas is one of very few privately owned Scottish distilleries having been in the hands of the Grant family for six generations from the mid-1800s until the present day. Glenfarclas operate three wash stills and four spirit stills and take their water from springs around the nearby Ben Rinnes mountain.

The distillery have a focus on high quality, flavourful spirits matched with high quality ex-Sherry barrels from Jerez de la Frontera. The core range is impressively consistent featuring a 10 year old, 15 year old, 18 year and 21 year old. A limited edition 30 year old is released annual and special mention should go to 105 Caskk Strength - a superb non-age-statement cask strength single malt bottled at 57.5% ABV.
