Glenfarclas 55 Year Old Family Cask 2064 1958 is a rare single malt Scotch whisky, distilled at Glenfarclas distillery, which has remained family-owned since 1865. Bottled at natural cask strength of 44.2% ABV, this whisky aged for over five decades in traditional dunnage warehouses. The appearance is deep antique ruby, indicative of its long Sherry cask maturation. Aromas and flavours reveal layers of dark fruits, including black cherry and fig, rounded with elements of polished oak and rancio. The finish offers a nuanced dryness, complemented by a subtle nuttiness, reflecting its extensive maturation.

A Family Owned Distillery

Glenfarclas is one of very few privately owned Scottish distilleries having been in the hands of the Grant family for six generations from the mid-1800s until the present day. Glenfarclas operate three wash stills and four spirit stills and take their water from springs around the nearby Ben Rinnes mountain.

The distillery have a focus on high quality, flavourful spirits matched with high quality ex-Sherry barrels from Jerez de la Frontera. The core range is impressively consistent featuring a 10 year old, 15 year old, 18 year and 21 year old. A limited edition 30 year old is released annual and special mention should go to 105 Caskk Strength - a superb non-age-statement cask strength single malt bottled at 57.5% ABV.
