Glenfarclas 34 Year Old Family Cask 1411 was distilled in 1980 and forms part of the Spring 2015 release from this renowned Speyside distillery. Aged in a refill hogshead, this single malt was bottled in December 2014 at 48% ABV, with only 260 bottles produced. Glenfarclas, established in 1836, remains a family-owned distillery, known for its traditional methods and commitment to quality. The whisky presents a complex profile reflecting decades of maturation, characteristic of its vintage and cask type.

A Family Owned Distillery

Glenfarclas is one of very few privately owned Scottish distilleries having been in the hands of the Grant family for six generations from the mid-1800s until the present day. Glenfarclas operate three wash stills and four spirit stills and take their water from springs around the nearby Ben Rinnes mountain.

The distillery have a focus on high quality, flavourful spirits matched with high quality ex-Sherry barrels from Jerez de la Frontera. The core range is impressively consistent featuring a 10 year old, 15 year old, 18 year and 21 year old. A limited edition 30 year old is released annual and special mention should go to 105 Caskk Strength - a superb non-age-statement cask strength single malt bottled at 57.5% ABV.
