This release also carries deep personal resonance for the Grant family. On the final day of the last millennium, family and distillery staff gathered to mark the occasion, including George S. Grant, who had served as Chairman for 52 years, alongside his son John, now the current Chairman. It was the last time George S. Grant visited the distillery before his passing in 2002, making this whisky a living tribute to his legacy.

A Family Owned Distillery
Glenfarclas is one of very few privately owned Scottish distilleries having been in the hands of the Grant family for six generations from the mid-1800s until the present day. Glenfarclas operate three wash stills and four spirit stills and take their water from springs around the nearby Ben Rinnes mountain.
The distillery have a focus on high quality, flavourful spirits matched with high quality ex-Sherry barrels from Jerez de la Frontera. The core range is impressively consistent featuring a 10 year old, 15 year old, 18 year and 21 year old. A limited edition 30 year old is released annual and special mention should go to 105 Caskk Strength - a superb non-age-statement cask strength single malt bottled at 57.5% ABV.
