Glenfarclas 1993 Family Cask 4662 is a single malt Scotch whisky from the Speyside region, aged for 24 years in a single Sherry butt. Distilled in 1993 and bottled in 2017 at 53.3% ABV, this release captures the character of the distillery during the early 1990s. It features a profile of marmalade, honeyed malt and rich fruit cake, balanced by a persistent oak spice. The palate is full-bodied and well-integrated, showing the classic Sherry-driven style that is a hallmark of Glenfarclas.

A Family Owned Distillery

Glenfarclas is one of very few privately owned Scottish distilleries having been in the hands of the Grant family for six generations from the mid-1800s until the present day. Glenfarclas operate three wash stills and four spirit stills and take their water from springs around the nearby Ben Rinnes mountain.

The distillery have a focus on high quality, flavourful spirits matched with high quality ex-Sherry barrels from Jerez de la Frontera. The core range is impressively consistent featuring a 10 year old, 15 year old, 18 year and 21 year old. A limited edition 30 year old is released annual and special mention should go to 105 Caskk Strength - a superb non-age-statement cask strength single malt bottled at 57.5% ABV.
