Glen Grant Diamond Jubilee 60 Year Old 1952 is an exclusive single malt Scotch whisky from Speyside, Scotland, released by Gordon & MacPhail to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. Distilled in 1952, this expression matured in a first-fill sherry butt, showcasing a mahogany hue and an ABV of 42.3%. Aromatic notes include Manuka honey, medlars, and Moroccan spices, reflecting the influence of six decades in oak. The whisky features a complex structure with a silky mouthfeel, leading to a persistent smoky finish. This release embodies the craftsmanship of Glen Grant and highlights the rare character derived from mature European oak casks.

Glen Grant

A Highly Respected Speyside Malt

Glen Grant was founded in 1840 by brothers John and James Grant, a pair of former illegal distillers and smugglers who had decided to establish themselves as legitimate whisky makers. The distillery eventually passed to Major James Grant, nephew of founder John Grant. James modernised the distillery in the late 1800s, adding electric light and introducing taller, more slender stills - a feature that still characterises the character of the spirit to this day.

Older bottlings of Glen Grant lean heavily on the use of ex-Sherry casks, but the recently launched core range tends to a lighter, fruitier style of single malt. Glen Grant is used extensively in Chivas blends and is widely available in the form of venerable old vintage bottlings from the Gordon & MacPhail. A core range features a 10 year old, 12 year old, 15 year old and 18 year old.
