Duty Charges

Below is a summary of the new duty charges per bottle as of February 2026. Please note that these vary depending on the ABV and are subject to change. Please get in touch if you require more information:

Transparent Billing and Rate Calculations

Annual Billing: Clients are invoiced annually based on the wines stored in the preceding year.
Case Equivalents: A case is defined as 9 litres of wine (typically twelve 750ml bottles), ensuring clarity in pricing.
Pro-Rata Charges: Storage fees are charged on a per-bottle basis, and wines stored for part of a month will be billed accordingly.

How to Use Our Bonded Storage

Purchase en primeur or under-bond wines from Hedonism Wines.
Automatically enjoy twelve months of free storage at our bonded storage when you open your storage account.
After twelve months, your storage will continue at the rates outlined above, with quarterly invoicing.
When you are ready to receive your wines, simply request delivery. Most orders are fulfilled within 3-4 working days.

Situated in Scotland`s Lowland whisky region, Girvan was founded in 1963 by William Grant & Sons to supply grain whisky for their blends. This launch edition of Single Grain Whiskies has been matured for long 25 years and it showcases the quality and complexity that vintage grain whisky can achieve. Bottled at 42% ABV, it’s an approachable single malt, offering notes of vanilla, citrus and some stone fruit.

Distilling both Malt and Grain

The Girvan grain whisky distillery was built by William Grant & Sons in the town of Girvan, South Ayrshire, in 1963. Sourcing water from the river Clyde, its main purpose was to provide a reliable source of grain whisky for use in Grant’s blends.

The distillery was built with unusual speed – the site was in production within nine months of the first brick being laid – after a major disagreement between William Grant & Sons and its previous supplier, Distillers Company Ltd, led to DCL cutting off supplies.

While most of Girvan’s output has always been used to supply blends, of Grant’s and other blenders, a number of single-grain whiskies have also been produced at the distillery. From 1985 William Grant & Sons produced its now-discontinued Black Barrel single grain whisky on the site, while in 2014 a range of age-statements whiskies were released under the Girvan Patent Still label. From 1965 until 1975, Ladyburn distillery also produced single malt whiskies at Girvan for use in Grant's blended whiskies.
