Jadot Gevrey-Chambertin Les Cazetiers 2015 is a medium-bodied Burgundy red wine from the Premier Cru climat of Les Cazetiers in the Gevrey-Chambertin commune of the Côte de Nuits. Louis Jadot is one of the most consistent growers and négociants in Burgundy, offering a vast portfolio of wines – from easy-drinking, accessible Bourgogne to complex, age-worthy Grand Cru expressions. The company is today run by Pierre-Henri Gagey, assisted by head winemaker Frédéric Barnier. On the 2015 Les Cazetiers. "This is completely different and much more typically Gevrey with its earthier and more sauvage-inflected aromas of ripe dark berries and forest floor that are also trimmed in noticeable but not intrusive wood toast. There is more volume and power to the equally mineral-driven and concentrated flavours that possess real drive on the strikingly complex finish where the only nit is a hint of warmth. This notably structured effort should be first-rate if you have the patience to allow it to mature." Burghound, 2017
