Gevrey-Chambertin Les Cazetiers Armand Rousseau 2015 is a Pinot Noir from the esteemed Premier Cru vineyard of Les Cazetiers in Burgundy. The 2015 vintage is marked by ripe fruit character, offering notes of dark cherry and plum alongside subtle hints of earthy minerality. The palate shows firm tannins and notable acidity, leading to a structured finish that reflects the vineyard’s distinctive terroir. This wine demonstrates the potential for ageing inherent in Rousseau`s offerings.
Vinous
The 2015 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Cazetiers 1er Cru feels odd on the nose, with a bruised apple scent suggesting light oxidation. The palate is simple and smudged, lacking depth and contrast, and bereft of tension toward the finish. I have doubts about how representative this bottle is and will not judge it. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting. Neal Martin1st November 2018
