Domaine Denis Mortet Gevrey-Chambertin 2012 is a mature red Burgundy from the commune of Gevrey-Chambertin in the Côte de Nuits. Located in Gevrey-Chambertin, the Denis Mortet estate is a family-owned Burgundy producer currently overseen by Laurence Mortet and her two children, Clémence and Arnaud. The domaine was initially established in 1956 by Charles Mortet, starting with only one hectare of vineyards. "A bright, cool and restrained nose speaks of various red berries and plenty of Gevrey style earth scents. There is fine detail and very solid ripeness to the delicious and equally restrained medium-bodied flavours that also exude a fine minerality on the balanced finish that displays just a touch of rusticity. This is a fine Gevrey villages and worth your attention." Burghound, 2015

Vinous
Bright medium red. Musky redcurrant and plum aromas are complicated by game and leather nuances. Sweet and fine-grained, offering rich flavors of red and purple fruits. This elegant, concentrated village wine is already delicious but has the backbone to evolve gracefully.
