Duty Charges

Below is a summary of the new duty charges per bottle as of February 2026. Please note that these vary depending on the ABV and are subject to change. Please get in touch if you require more information:

Transparent Billing and Rate Calculations

Annual Billing: Clients are invoiced annually based on the wines stored in the preceding year.
Case Equivalents: A case is defined as 9 litres of wine (typically twelve 750ml bottles), ensuring clarity in pricing.
Pro-Rata Charges: Storage fees are charged on a per-bottle basis, and wines stored for part of a month will be billed accordingly.

How to Use Our Bonded Storage

Purchase en primeur or under-bond wines from Hedonism Wines.
Automatically enjoy twelve months of free storage at our bonded storage when you open your storage account.
After twelve months, your storage will continue at the rates outlined above, with quarterly invoicing.
When you are ready to receive your wines, simply request delivery. Most orders are fulfilled within 3-4 working days.

It is renowned for a muscular structure and dense tannins that reflect the power of the 2005 vintage, balanced by an earthy minerality from the vineyard`s limestone-rich soils. As one of the five owners of this prestigious site, Bruno Clair produces an expression often considered equal to Grand Cru quality in its depth and longevity.

The Clair 2005 Gevrey-Chambertin Clos St.-Jacques offers the aromatic complexity one has come to expect from this great site in this great vintage. black cherry, cassis, iris, peat, bitter herbs, and roasted meat are all on display. Juicy, dynamic and expansive on the palate, it generates a whirl of black fruits, flowers and bitter-sweet herbs over a low-toned rumbling of stones and deep meaty depth. Athletically energetic and lean like all of the best Clair wines, it displays tenacious grip and finishing intensity. Don’t even think about revisiting a bottle for 5-7 years. - David Schildknecht

The 2005 Gevrey-Chambertin Clos Saint-Jacques 1er Cru from Domaine Bruno Clair precedes the dazzling run of form this estate has shown in recent years. It is rustic and, again, quite Bretty on the nose, missing some freshness and definition. Old school! The palate is medium-bodied with a soft entry, furry tannins and a hint of wild mushroom on the finish. The 2005 is actually quite enjoyable, but it is far removed from the purity that can be regularly found here these days. Tasted at the 05/15 Burgundy dinner in The Good Earth and again at the Sanglier dinner in Savigny-lès-Beaune with consistent notes. Neal Martin17th June 2025
