Armand Rousseau Gevrey-Chambertin 2015 is a red Burgundy produced from Pinot Noir grapes grown in the Gevrey-Chambertin appellation of the Côte de Nuits. Domaine Armand Rousseau is one of the shining stars of Burgundy and produces some of the most collectible wines in the world. For four generations, the Rousseau family have worked tirelessly and passionately on some of the finest terroirs of the Côte de Nuits. Based in Gevrey-Chambertin, the domaine unquestionably sits among the greats of Burgundy, with a portfolio of wines from some of the most revered vineyards in the region. On the 2015 Gevrey-Chambertin. "Bright medium red, a bit darker than the Gevrey-Chambertin Clos du Château. Darker, spicier and more complex on the nose, conveying a suggestion of Brochon power. A step up in energy and clarity as well, offering lovely density and cut to its raspberry and spice flavours. Finishes classically dry, firmly structured and long. As impressive an early showing as I can recall for this village wine chez Rousseau." Vinous, 2017
