Founded at the start of the 20th century, Armand Rousseau is a leading wine producer in Burgundy, currently managed by Eric Rousseau with the assistance of his daughter Cyriell. The Domaine is based in Gevrey-Chambertin and consists of approximately 15 hectares, over half of which is situated in Grand Cru sites. Rousseau owns 10 vineyards in Gevrey-Chambertin, 8 of which are used in this Village appellation. Additional grapes are also sourced from some Premier Cru sites. The nose is captivating and lifted, revealing notes of cherries, sous bois and spices. Light bodied on the palate, with tart berries and blood orange flavours.
