Château Fourcas Dupré`s Kosher 2017 is a Cru Bourgeois red wine from the Listrac-Médoc appellation in Bordeaux, a region known for its gravelly and clay-limestone soils. The Fourcas estate spans 44 hectares, with vines averaging 25 years old, situated on a crest of Pyrenean gravel, ensuring good natural drainage. This particular vintage, a blend predominantly of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot with smaller amounts of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, reflects the more classic, less ripe character of the 2017 Bordeaux vintage. It typically offers a deep garnet color with notes of dark berries, earth, cedar and subtle spice, supported by fine tannins and balanced acidity, promising a structured yet elegant profile that can benefit from a few years of ageing.

The 2017 Fourcas-Dupre is medium to deep garnet-purple in color with an earthy nose of truffles and damp soil over a core of blackberries and black currants. The palate is medium-bodied and just a tad lean in the middle with a grippy finish. - Lisa Perrotti-Brown
Vinous
The 2017 Fourcas-Dupré has a light red cherry and cranberry scented bouquet with touches of vanilla and tobacco. The palate is medium-bodied with light tannin and feels pleasantly fresh in the mouth. There is nothing overly complex here, but it deserves applause for the harmony on the finish. It will constitute and early-drinking Listrac. Neal Martin1st May 2018
