Flor de Pingus 2013 is a distinctive red wine from the Ribera del Duero DO in Spain. It is crafted from Tempranillo, along with small quantities of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The fruit is sourced from the estate’s meticulously managed vineyards totalling 35 hectares in the village of La Horra. In this vintage, the wine exhibits a complex aroma profile, showcasing dark fruit, notably black cherries and blackberries, interwoven with spicy nuances and subtle smoky notes. It is structured with a lively acidity, suggesting potential for further development over the next 10-15 years.

Brilliant violet color. A heady bouquet displays scents of fresh raspberry, incense and rose pastille, with a spicy nuance adding lift. Stains the palate with red fruit liqueur and floral pastille flavors, with tangy acidity providing lift and focus. Youthfully firm tannins build through the clinging finish, which repeats the red fruit and floral qualities. Josh Raynolds1st December 2015
