An historic Premier Grand Cru Classé from the 1990 vintage. Characterised by the charm of its Merlot, the elegance of its Cabernet Franc and the mineral texture of its Cabernet Sauvignon. Fully mature, with a fragranced, herbal nose with liquorice complexity. Here is a wine to be savoured soon!

Vinous
The 1990 Figeac, poured at the château with the Manoncourt family, is similar to several recent bottles. This example retains those aromas of Earl Grey and truffle, perhaps not quite as vigorous as the previous example, yet it grows in the glass. The palate is well balanced, the bedrock of Cabernet imparting quite a Left Bank personality that deceives you into believing it comes from a cooler summer. Builds towards the finish, not as fine-tuned as recent vintages, yet it has presence and salinity on the finish. Neal Martin26th January 2023

Chateau Figeac
An Elegant Right Bank Estate
Château Figeac is one of the finest producers in Saint-Émilion and is just one of fourteen properties classified as Premier Grand Cru Classé (B) in 2012, putting it firmly in the highest echelons of the region.
Owned by the Manoncourt family since 1892, the history of this superb estate can be traced back to the Roman era and today spans 40ha. The majority of the grapes produced go into producing the celebrated first wine of the estate, Château Figeac, a classic style of Saint-Émilion with wonderful texture and tannic power. A small amount of the second wine, Le Petit Figeac is also produced.
