Errazuriz Viñedo Chadwick 2002 is a significant expression of Chilean winemaking, showcasing 80% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Merlot from the Puente Alto vineyard in Maipo. Established by Don Maximiano Errazuriz in 1870, this winery has consistently focused on quality and innovation. The 2002 vintage is aged for 20 months, with a substantial portion in new French oak. On the nose, it exhibits aromas of dark fruits, graphite and a hint of earthy minerality. The palate is structured, featuring firm tannins and a nuanced finish that reflects the vineyard`s terroir.

Two thousand two was a fairly cool year at Viñedo Chadwick, although it rained a little more than in the rest of Chile. In this vintage, the Viñedo Chadwick is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon aged for 19 months in French barrels. It has a dark garnet hue. A distinctive, herbal nose of gentle pyrazine flavors, tobacco and clear, fruity blackcurrant notes. In the mouth, it has the refined, smooth tannins that made Maipo famous. A fairly compact flow sustains the flavors into a vivid balsamic finish.Joaquin Hidalgo10th August 2022
