Duty Charges

Below is a summary of the new duty charges per bottle as of February 2026. Please note that these vary depending on the ABV and are subject to change. Please get in touch if you require more information:

Transparent Billing and Rate Calculations

Annual Billing: Clients are invoiced annually based on the wines stored in the preceding year.
Case Equivalents: A case is defined as 9 litres of wine (typically twelve 750ml bottles), ensuring clarity in pricing.
Pro-Rata Charges: Storage fees are charged on a per-bottle basis, and wines stored for part of a month will be billed accordingly.

How to Use Our Bonded Storage

Purchase en primeur or under-bond wines from Hedonism Wines.
Automatically enjoy twelve months of free storage at our bonded storage when you open your storage account.
After twelve months, your storage will continue at the rates outlined above, with quarterly invoicing.
When you are ready to receive your wines, simply request delivery. Most orders are fulfilled within 3-4 working days.

A Speyside single malt bottled as an 8-year-old de luxe expression under the House of Bell’s label. This release represents the distillery character just before the modernisation of the plant and the removal of the Glenlivet suffix from the branding. The profile is defined by a honeyed cereal sweetness and a medium-bodied texture with notes of vanilla and toasted nuts. At 40% ABV, the spirit is smooth and approachable while maintaining a degree of the traditional oiliness from the short, bulbous stills. It reflects a period when the distillery was expanding its production capacity to meet the global demand for blended Scotch. This bottling remains a staple for collectors tracing the evolution of Speyside brands during the height of the 20th-century whisky boom.

A Lesser Spotted Speyside Malt

Dufftown distillery is one of seven whisky distilleries in and around the Banffshire town of Dufftown (the others being Glenfiddich, Balvenie, Mortlach, Glendullan, Kininvie and Convalmore).

Now one of the largest producers in Diageo’s whisky distillery portfolio, Dufftown was founded by the Dufftown-Glenlivet Company in 1895. For most of the 20th century the distillery was under the ownership of Arthur Bell and Sons, who used the its single malt in their flagship blended whisky.

Though generally known for this purpose (most of Dufftown’s prodigious output goes into blends such as Bell’s, with only 3% produced as single malts), Dufftown began to establish reputation for its single malts (made in a grassier Speyside style than the malty style associated with Bell’s) with the advent of the Singleton of Dufftown brand.

In recent years there has been only one other official house bottling – a Flora and Fauna 15 year-old – though a number of others released during the 1990s are still on the market. Independent bottlings of Dufftown single malt have been scarce, with Signatory, Whisky Galore and Murray McDavid among the most notable.
