Duty Charges

Below is a summary of the new duty charges per bottle as of February 2026. Please note that these vary depending on the ABV and are subject to change. Please get in touch if you require more information:

Transparent Billing and Rate Calculations

Annual Billing: Clients are invoiced annually based on the wines stored in the preceding year.
Case Equivalents: A case is defined as 9 litres of wine (typically twelve 750ml bottles), ensuring clarity in pricing.
Pro-Rata Charges: Storage fees are charged on a per-bottle basis, and wines stored for part of a month will be billed accordingly.

How to Use Our Bonded Storage

Purchase en primeur or under-bond wines from Hedonism Wines.
Automatically enjoy twelve months of free storage at our bonded storage when you open your storage account.
After twelve months, your storage will continue at the rates outlined above, with quarterly invoicing.
When you are ready to receive your wines, simply request delivery. Most orders are fulfilled within 3-4 working days.

For over two centuries, Dow’s has been synonymous with the finest examples of Port from the vineyards of the Upper Douro Valley. This is a classic example of aged Tawny Port with deliciously mellow scents of dried fruits, honeysuckle, grilled nuts and butterscotch. On the palate it is rich and smooth yet perfectly balanced, with notes of dried berry fruits, nuts and woody spices. Served lightly chilled this is superb by itself, but it pairs particularly well with crème brûlée or dark, bitter chocolate.

The 20-Year Old Tawny Port bottled in 2018 comes from low-lying, south-facing vineyards and includes partial ageing in larger-size vessels. Much darker in colour than the Graham’s counterpart, the bouquet offers an enticing mélange of dark cherry compote, clove, hazelnut and marmalade that gently unfolds in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied but clearly endowed with more heft and density than the Graham’s. This is quite nutty and spicy, featuring ginger and Seville orange marmalade and impressive weight and persistency on the finish. Superb. Tasted at the Symington Tawny Port tasting at the Tower of London.

200 Years of History

One of the most famous Port houses, Dow's has been producing fine wines in the Douro for over two hundred years. The estate's most celebrated vineyards are the Quinta do Bomfim and it's from here that much of the fruit for Dow's vintage Port is sourced. In select vintages, Quinto do Bomfim also produces a Single Quinta wine, which is highly prized by Port lovers.

The house has been owned and operated by the Symington family since the early 1960s. The Symingtons arranged for the repurchase of the famous Quinta da Senhora da Ribeira, which was sold off in the 1950s, and brought Quinta do Santinho and Quinta da Cerdeira under the Dow's umbrella to ensure the house had access to suitably high quality fruit. Dow's represents excellent value for money in the world of vintage Port - a family run house with an eye on quality and tradition in equal measure.
