Dalmore 33 Year Old 1989 is a rare single malt whisky, matured initially in American white oak ex-bourbon casks and subsequently finished in Pauillac Grand Cru wine barriques. The nose presents aromas of warm manuka honey, complemented by rich forest fruits and brioche. On the palate, flavours of cassis, rich citrus, and marzipan emerge, leading to a finish of caramelised pecans and old English marmalade. Bottled at 51%, it features natural colour and is free from chill filtration, reflecting Dalmore`s dedication to quality whisky production since 1839.

The Archetypal Highland Malt

Founded in 1839 by Alexander Matheson, Dalmore is one of the Highland's most recognisable distilleries. Overlooking the Cromarty Firth, the distillery houses four pairs of stills and produces just over four millions litres of spirit a year. Almost as famous as the distillery itself is Richard Paterson, master blender for many decades, Richard has done much to popularise the Dalmore brand and Scottish whisky more broadly.

Dalmore 12, 15 and 18 year old are all firm favourites with whisky lovers, while their run of single vintage whiskies bottled as part of the "Constellation Collection" series have kept collectors happy. The Cigar Malt and King Alexander III are excellent non-age-statement additions to the core range while the limited annual release of Dalmore 21 year old usually sells as in a heart beat.
