First introduced in the early 1950s, Cynar is a popular Italian aperitif, named after the artichoke [Cynara Scolymus] which is its main ingredient. This is a rare 1-litre bottled from the 1970s, boasting its classic red and green label. Now owned by the Campari Group, Cynar’s recipe remains a well-guarded secret to this day.
