This white wine from the Northern Rhône is a blend of 50% Marsanne and 50% Roussanne, sourced from the Mule Blanche vineyard known for its alluvial soils and limestone pebbles. The 2021 vintage experienced a cooler growing season, contributing to its heightened acidity and mineral focus. The wine has an alcohol content of 13.5% and underwent ageing in concrete eggs and large oak barrels, aiming to enhance its floral aromatics. Tasting notes include white peach and honeysuckle, complemented by a distinct waxy texture. This cuvée exemplifies the modern, organic ethos of Paul Jaboulet Aîné, now led by Caroline Frey, highlighting their commitment to quality and terroir expression.

The 2021 Crozes-Hermitage Blanc Domaine Mule Blanche blends 55% Marsanne with 45% Roussanne. Swirling the glass gradually reveals lemon flesh, green apple, ripe pear and discrete cedar aromatics. Hitting the palate with modest yet sufficient flavor concentration and medium-bodied at most, the elegant 2021 concludes with brightness on the crisp finale.Nicolas Greinacher28th March 2024

A blend of Marsanne and Roussanne, the 2021 Crozes Hermitage Mule Blanche (Domaine) features scents of crushed stone, citrus zest and white peaches. It`s medium-bodied, tight, taut and lacks generosity in the mouth, but it offers bright, citrusy notes from start to finish.
