Camille Giroud Corton Le Rognet 2010 is a full-bodied red Burgundy from the lieu-dit of Le Rognet in the Corton Grand Cru of the Côte de Beaune. Founded in 1865, Camille Giroud is a boutique négociant business based in Beaune. In 2001 the Maison was sold to a group of American investors, and it is currently managed by Carel Voorhuis, who continues to craft seductive and terroir-driven wines. "The Corton Le Rognet 2010 from Camille Giroud is a truly beautiful Corton. In the bouquet fine red berry fruit with notes of sweet strawberries, cherries, pomegranate and wild raspberries. The oak is present in the nose, but well integrated in the lovely cool red fruit. On the palate very fine concentration of cool ripe quite opulent fruit. It’s rich and charming on the midpalate with a lovely balance. A very impressive and complex Corton." Winehog, 2013
