Founded in 1865, Camille Giroud is a boutique négociant business based in Beaune. In 2001 the Maison was sold to a group of American investors, and it is currently managed by Carel Voorhuis, who continues to craft seductive and terroir-driven wines. This Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru is made from vines situated at an altitude of up to 320 metres, some of which are over 50 years old. 2020 was a unique vintage, with mostly hot and dry weather producing wines of remarkable freshness and balance.
Vinous
The 2020 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru has an expressive nose with white peach, apricot blossom, egg whites and a touch of crushed stone. The palate is fresh and vibrant, lightly spiced, very cohesive with impressive depth on the finish. This has fine potential, full of depth and energy. Neal Martin1st December 2021
