Situated in Pernand-Vergelesses, Domaine Bonneau du Martray is the only estate in Burgundy to make wines exclusively from Grand Cru vineyards, Corton and Corton-Charlemagne. In 2017 the property was acquired by American businessman Stanley Kroenke, whose portfolio also includes Screaming Eagle in Napa Valley. The 2015 vintage in Burgundy is widely regarded as an exceptional year for both red and white wines. While the focus is often on the outstanding reds, the white wines of 2015 also showcase remarkable quality.

The 2015 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru is a powerful, dense wine. It possesses tremendous richness and tons of intensity. Radiance and phenolic intensity are two of the signatures. That's about all I can tell you, as the 2015 is nowhere near ready to drink. It does have tremendous potential though, that is clear. Antonio Galloni1st October 2020
