Situated in Pernand-Vergelesses, Domaine Bonneau du Martray is the only estate in Burgundy to make wines exclusively from Grand Cru vineyards, Corton and Corton-Charlemagne. In 2017 the property was acquired by American businessman Stanley Kroenke, who also owns Screaming Eagle in Napa Valley. The Domaine’s 2002 Corton-Charlemagne is mature and beautifully structured now, featuring notes of lemon, green apple, pineapple, limestone and hints of honey, white flowers and cereal grains.

Excellence from Grand Cru Vineyards

High on the hill of Corton lies Domaine Bonneau du Martray, an estate synonymous with the pinnacle of Burgundian winemaking. The domaine has the rare distinction of producing only Grand Cru wines, with vineyards that have been cultivated for over a millennium. Under the current ownership, the estate continues its tradition of crafting wines that are both powerful and refined. The Corton-Charlemagne, their flagship Chardonnay, is celebrated for its precision, vibrant acidity, and complex minerality, while their Pinot Noir is revered for its depth and structure.
