Domaine Tollot-Beaut Corton-Bressandes 2012 is a Grand Cru Burgundy red wine produced from Pinot Noir grapes in the Corton-Bressandes climat of Aloxe-Corton in the Côte de Beaune. Domaine Tollot-Beaut, located in Chorey-lès-Beaune, was started in 1880 by François Tollot. The fifth generation of the family, Nathalie Tollot and her two cousins, Olivier and Jean-Paul, now oversee the business. They own approximately 24 hectares across four communes. Savigny-lès-Beaune, Beaune, Aloxe-Corton and Chorey-lès-Beaune. "Tasted blind at the annual `Burgfest` tasting in Beaune. The 2012 Corton-Bressandes Grand Cru from Tollot-Beaut was showing some volatility on the nose, but underneath lie attractive red and black fruit that convey great energy and vitality. The palate is medium-bodied with supple ripe tannin. This is very smooth and very harmonious, silky and pure with a patina of creamy new oak on the finish. It is modern in style for sure, but well defined and long in the mouth. If you appreciate bold and brassy Corton-Bressandes, then this is for you." Neal Martin, 2015

Vinous
- A dark, exotic beauty, the 2012 Corton-Bressandes is utterly captivating. Like the Corton, the Corton-Bressandes is surprisingly open and expressive today. Black cherries, menthol and cloves are some of the many notes that blossom as the 2012 fills out its broad-shouldered frame. The explosive, tannic finish points to a very bright structure. Here, too, the wine's overall balance is simply magnificent.
