Domaine Thierry Allemand Cornas Reynard 2018 is a full-bodied single-vineyard red wine produced from Syrah grapes in the Cornas appellation of the northern Rhône Valley. The quiet hero of Cornas, Thierry Allemand is a committed traditionalist working with minimal sulphur to produce terroir-driven Syrahs that have slowly but surely achieved a sort of cult status. His Reynard cuvée is produced from his oldest Syrah vines. "Deep magenta. Highly perfumed dark berry, violet, smoky mineral and olive aromas show superb clarity and a touch of spiciness. Offers sweet, palate-staining blackberry, cherry-cola, succulent herb and floral pastille flavors that deepen slowly and take on a licorice nuance with aeration. Rich but lively as well, finishing with emphatic back-end cut, building tannins and impressively persistent floral, mineral and exotic spice notes."Vinous, 2022
