Morey-Saint Denis is one of the smallest village appellations in the Côte de Nuits. Four Grands Crus are located in this village and among them Clos Saint-Denis. The wines from Morey show characteristics between the powerful Gevrey-Chambertin and elegant Chambolle Musigny. The oak is still a little marked at present in this 2018 vintage, but will integrate over the next few years, given its texture and tannic backbone. It shows the freshness that is typical of Clos St-Denis and has considerable potential.

The very essence of Burgundy

Louis Jadot was established in Beaune by Louis Henry Denis in 1859. Over the last 165 years the company maintained exceptional quality of its wines through the steady acquisition of the best vineyards in Burgundy and now produce wines from over 150 appellations.

Jadot owns almost 125ha of vineyards in the Côte d’Or and more than 298 vineyard parcels sites including 14 Grand Cru and 74 Premier Cru. Within the last decade Domaine Louis Jadot vineyards around Beaune have been managed following organic principles and are in the process of organic certification for the 2024 vintage.

From vineyard to bottle, sustainability is a core part of their approach. Since 2019, all Domaine Louis Jadot vineyards have the High Environmental Value level 3 certification. This is a voluntary approach which aims to identify and promote particularly environmentally-friendly practices applied by farmers. It covers biodiversity conservation, plant protection strategy, management of fertiliser use and management of water.
