Domaine Dujac was acquired by Jacques Seysses in 1967 and has established itself as one of the very finest producers in Burgundy with no fewer than 7 Grand Cru wines in their exceptional portfolio. 2012 was a superb vintage for the Côte de Nuits producing high quality wines with excellent balance of fruit, tannins and acidity.

The 2012 Clos St. Denis has turned out beautifully. Once of the more immediate and supple of the Grand Crus, the 2012 is built on a core of super-expressive, resonant fruit. There is plenty of depth, especially on the substantial finish, but the overall impression is of silkiness and softness, in relative terms, of course. Sweet red cherry, plum, mint and orange peel add the final layers of nuance.Antonio Galloni1st April 2015

A Focus on Terroir

Founded in the late 1960s by Jacques Seysses, who purchased and renovated Domaine Graillet in Morey-St-Denis. The estate is currently run by Jacques' sons Jeremy and Alec, who farm around 17 hectares of vines across the Côte including holdings in Echezeaux, Clos de la Roche, Charmes-Chambertin and Bonnes Mares.

A natural approach is taken in the vineyard and cellar with the estate moving from organic farming to fully biodynamic in the mid 2000s, receiving their certification in 2011. The team's focus is on elegance - temperatures are controlled to keep alcohol in check and also limit malolactic fermentation while juice from the crush is fed into the cellar by gravity only without the use of pumping. The wines of Domaine Dujac represent pure, balanced expressions of their respective terroirs.
