Clos de la Roche is one of five Grand Cru vineyards in Morey-Saint-Denis, spanning approximately 16.9 hectares of Pinot Noir vines. It is renowned for producing structured, mineral-driven wines with remarkable ageing potential. A benchmark expression of Clos de la Roche from one of Burgundy’s most esteemed producers. Domaine Armand Rousseau, whose holdings in this Grand Cru date back to the early 20th century, is renowned for crafting wines of both power and finesse. The 1995 vintage offers a layered nose of black cherry, wild strawberry, dried rose, and earthy spice, underpinned by cedar and forest floor. The palate is structured yet refined, with firm but integrated tannins and a mineral-driven freshness that carries through to a long, complex finish. A compelling Burgundy with depth, elegance, and the unmistakable stamp of its Grand Cru terroir.
