The Clase Azul Master Artisans Extra Añejo Tequila collection comprises three distinct decanters, each representing a facet of Mexican craftsmanship. Crafted by Fernando Jimón and María Elena López, the decanters reflect the barro bandera technique, showcasing the nation’s colours. The tequila has matured for over eight years, initially in American whiskey casks, followed by various wine cask finishes. Each decanter features a unique character. El Baile de Los Nahuales (Tuscan red), La Proeza del Águila (Portuguese fortified), and La Luna y El Conejo (Bordeaux Classé).

Inspired by Mexican culture and traditions, Clase Azul was founded Arturo Lomeli in 1997 with the objective of becoming an ultra-premium Tequila brand without equal. Clase Azul’s iconic decanters are handmade and individually hand-painted by a team of artisans in the town of Santa Maria Canchesda, Jalisco. The base spirit inside Clase Azul’s collectible decanter is of uncompromising quality, derived from organically farmed 100% blue agave which is aged for a minimum of six to eight years before being cooked in old masonry ovens, slowly fermented and distilled. Finally, the spirit is barrel-aged in a variety of vessels, from ex-Bourbon casks to wine barrels, to create Clase Azul’s impeccable range of Tequilas.
