A fully Mexican-owned and operated company, Clase Azul has been creating ultra-premium spirits for more than 25 years. This limited-edition release was created by blending an añejo tequila aged for more than 14 months in casks previously used for American whiskey with tequilas aged in first-use American oak casks having light and medium charring. The nose is filled with aromas of candied orange peel, agave syrup and almond. The palate reveals notes of citrus, clove, roasted coffee and orange blossom.

Art and Agave Collide

Inspired by Mexican culture and traditions, Clase Azul was founded Arturo Lomeli in 1997 with the objective of becoming an ultra-premium Tequila brand without equal. Clase Azul’s iconic decanters are handmade and individually hand-painted by a team of artisans in the town of Santa Maria Canchesda, Jalisco.

The base spirit inside Clase Azul’s collectible decanter is of uncompromising quality, derived from organically farmed 100% blue agave which is aged for a minimum of six to eight years before being cooked in old masonry ovens, slowly fermented and distilled. Finally, the spirit is barrel-aged in a variety of vessels, from ex-Bourbon casks to wine barrels, to create Clase Azul’s impeccable range of Tequilas.
