The final entry in Salud Spirits `Seven Gods of Fortune` series of single cask Chichibu bottlings. Jurojin symbolizes long life, wisdom and health. This single cask was distilled in 2016 and bottled at 63.3% ABV in 2025. The whisky matured for eight years in a first fill ex-bourbon barrel (#5726). Limited to 157 bottles only, making it one of the rarest releases in the series.

Launched in 2022, the series pays homage to the seven gods of fortune from Japanese mythology, with each release symbolising a different god. Previous releases in the Salud Spirits-exclusive series include Ebisu, Hotei, Bishamonten, Benzaitan, Fukurokuju, Daikokuten and Jurojin.

The Japanese Vanguard

Chichibu Distillery is a Japanese whisky distillery located in the small town of Chichibu, northwest of Tokyo. Established in 2004 by Ichiro Akuto, it is a relatively young distillery in the world of whisky-making, but has quickly gained a reputation for producing some of the finest single malt whiskies in Japan. Chichibu's whisky-making process is steeped in tradition and attention to detail. The distillery sources only the highest quality malted barley from around the world, and uses a combination of pot stills and column stills to distill the whisky.
