Michel Colin-Deléger Chevalier-Montrachet 2006 is a full-bodied Burgundy white wine from the Grand Cru climat of Chevalier-Montrachet in the Côte de Beaune. Michel Colin-Deléger was the third generation of Colins to make wine in Chassagne. Michel semi-retired in 2003, relinquishing his vineyard holdings to sons Philippe and Bruno. On the 2006 Colin-Deléger Chevalier-Montrachet. "A very discreet hint of wood toast sets off the equally airy and pure citrus blossom and almost pungent wet stone notes that complement perfectly the intense, powerful and punchy flavours that possess superb detail and even more minerality along with a focused and linear finish that is longer than the Demoiselles but somewhat surprisingly, less complex, at least at present. Still, this is clearly a terrific if not truly mind bending effort." Burghound, 2006

Aromas of minerals, white flowers and white truffle. The juiciest and brightest of this trio of '06s, with lovely inner-mouth floral lift to its citrus and mineral flavors. As ripe as this is, it really transcends the vintage character thanks to its mineral underpinning and ripe, harmonious acidity.Stephen Tanzer1st September 2008
