Transparent Billing and Rate Calculations

Annual Billing: Clients are invoiced annually based on the wines stored in the preceding year.
Case Equivalents: A case is defined as 9 litres of wine (typically twelve 750ml bottles), ensuring clarity in pricing.
Pro-Rata Charges: Storage fees are charged on a per-bottle basis, and wines stored for part of a month will be billed accordingly.

How to Use Our Bonded Storage

Purchase en primeur or under-bond wines from Hedonism Wines.
Automatically enjoy twelve months of free storage at our bonded storage when you open your storage account.
After twelve months, your storage will continue at the rates outlined above, with quarterly invoicing.
When you are ready to receive your wines, simply request delivery. Most orders are fulfilled within 3-4 working days.

Chevalier-Montrachet La Cabotte Bouchard 2006 is a notable Grand Cru from a renowned producer, Bouchard Père et Fils, established in 1731. This vintage is marked by a depth and intensity that sets it apart. The wine presents aromas of toast and a complex bouquet that unfolds gradually. Palate-wise, it showcases rich, broad flavours, balanced by a firm acidity. The finish is lengthy, suggesting potential for further ageing. La Cabotte is produced from a particular lieu-dit within the Chevalier-Montrachet vineyard and has been bottled separately since 1997. The name `Cabotte` means a small stone hut or shelter traditionally used by vineyard workers.

Reflecting a terrace adjacent to Le Montrachet , the 2006 Chevalier-Montrachet La Cabotte sacrifices some of the brightness and elegance of the “regular” bottling for the sake of even more enveloping richness, amplitude, and sheer density. A bitter-sweet amalgam of over-ripe peach, plum, litchi, fruit pits, candied citrus, and toasted nuts is noticeably marked by the vanilla of new wood, and while the finish is formidable, it lacks the refinement, elegance, or mineral intrigue of its immediate sibling. Time will probably continue to take these two Chevalier Montrachet bottlings ever-further apart, with the Cabotte displaying the kinship with its yet more famous neighbor. Certainly a comparison any time over at least the next dozen years would prove fascinating for those few wine lovers who can afford it. - David Schildknecht

Timeless legacy in Burgundy’s heart

Established in 1731, Maison Bouchard Père & Fils is one of the oldest and largest wine estates in the Côte d’Or. In 1995, the estate was acquired by the Henriot family, whose portfolio also includes William Fèvre, Beaux Frères, Château de Poncié and Champagne Henriot. Bouchard boasts vineyard holdings totalling approximately 130 hectares, including 74ha of Premiers Crus and 12ha of Grand Crus, with as many as 450 different individual plots. While the maison’s vast mosaic of holdings are weighted towards the Côte de Beaune, the Côte de Nuits is also a major focus.

The maison’s original vineyard was purchased by Joseph Bouchard in Volnay Les Caillerets in 1775. Not long after Beaune Grèves Vigne de l’Enfant Jesus followed. Now one of four Bouchard monopole vineyards, Beaune Grèves Vignes de l’Enfant Jésus was once owned by the Carmelite order of nuns and is the source of Bouchard’s flagship wine. Bouchard’s extensive suite of wines is produced and aged at the state-of-the-art, gravity-fed Cuverie Saint Vincent in Savigny-lès-Beaune. Once bottled, the wines are stored beneath the historic Château de Beaune, built in the 15th century by King Louis XI and purchased by Bernard Bouchard in 1820.

With almost 300 years of savoir-faire, from its unrivalled multiplicity of terroirs, Bouchard stands as one of the most eminent names in Burgundy winemaking.
