Duty Charges

Transparent Billing and Rate Calculations

Annual Billing: Clients are invoiced annually based on the wines stored in the preceding year.
Case Equivalents: A case is defined as 9 litres of wine (typically twelve 750ml bottles), ensuring clarity in pricing.
Pro-Rata Charges: Storage fees are charged on a per-bottle basis, and wines stored for part of a month will be billed accordingly.

How to Use Our Bonded Storage

Purchase en primeur or under-bond wines from Hedonism Wines.
Automatically enjoy twelve months of free storage at our bonded storage when you open your storage account.
After twelve months, your storage will continue at the rates outlined above, with quarterly invoicing.
When you are ready to receive your wines, simply request delivery. Most orders are fulfilled within 3-4 working days.

Bouchard Père et Fils produces two expressions of Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru. La Cabotte is a 0.2ha lieu-dit that has been bottled separately since the 1997 vintage and has had an extraordinary run of form since 2010. Though a fantastic release, the 2016 is perhaps a little more reticent in comparison to previous vintages and will possibly need longer in bottle. In a complex, frost-affected vintage, just three barrels of this wine were produced.

Knockout pure-but-reticent nose melds deep yellow fruits, oak char, baking spices and minerals (this always needs a lot more time than the Chevalier-Montrachet here, notes Frédéric Weber). Wonderfully silky and rich but light on its feet; a serious mouthful of lemon zest, crushed stone and spices with outstanding focus and supporting salty minerality. Really shines today for its inner-mouth tension and explosive palate-dusting finish. Bouchard's Montrachet production was off by more than 50% in 2016 (to around 23 hectoliters per hectare), but the Cabotte was less affected by frost, producing three barrels, vs. four in 2017. Timeless legacy in Burgundy’s heart

Established in 1731, Maison Bouchard Père & Fils is one of the oldest and largest wine estates in the Côte d’Or. In 1995, the estate was acquired by the Henriot family, whose portfolio also includes William Fèvre, Beaux Frères, Château de Poncié and Champagne Henriot. Bouchard boasts vineyard holdings totalling approximately 130 hectares, including 74ha of Premiers Crus and 12ha of Grand Crus, with as many as 450 different individual plots. While the maison’s vast mosaic of holdings are weighted towards the Côte de Beaune, the Côte de Nuits is also a major focus.

The maison’s original vineyard was purchased by Joseph Bouchard in Volnay Les Caillerets in 1775. Not long after Beaune Grèves Vigne de l’Enfant Jesus followed. Now one of four Bouchard monopole vineyards, Beaune Grèves Vignes de l’Enfant Jésus was once owned by the Carmelite order of nuns and is the source of Bouchard’s flagship wine. Bouchard’s extensive suite of wines is produced and aged at the state-of-the-art, gravity-fed Cuverie Saint Vincent in Savigny-lès-Beaune. Once bottled, the wines are stored beneath the historic Château de Beaune, built in the 15th century by King Louis XI and purchased by Bernard Bouchard in 1820.

With almost 300 years of savoir-faire, from its unrivalled multiplicity of terroirs, Bouchard stands as one of the most eminent names in Burgundy winemaking.
