Duty Charges

Below is a summary of the new duty charges per bottle as of February 2026. Please note that these vary depending on the ABV and are subject to change. Please get in touch if you require more information:

Transparent Billing and Rate Calculations

Annual Billing: Clients are invoiced annually based on the wines stored in the preceding year.
Case Equivalents: A case is defined as 9 litres of wine (typically twelve 750ml bottles), ensuring clarity in pricing.
Pro-Rata Charges: Storage fees are charged on a per-bottle basis, and wines stored for part of a month will be billed accordingly.

How to Use Our Bonded Storage

Purchase en primeur or under-bond wines from Hedonism Wines.
Automatically enjoy twelve months of free storage at our bonded storage when you open your storage account.
After twelve months, your storage will continue at the rates outlined above, with quarterly invoicing.
When you are ready to receive your wines, simply request delivery. Most orders are fulfilled within 3-4 working days.

Established in 1731, Bouchard Père & Fils is one of the oldest estates in Burgundy and offers a brilliant portfolio of wines from many appellations across the region. In recent years, Bouchard has made significant advances in consistency and quality and this is once again another excellent release from their 2.33ha parcel of the venerated Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru. Deep and concentrated, with delicate texture and vibrant acidity, this is a quietly elegant and precise wine that may not shout from the rooftops but delivers massively on every level. The 2017 Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru has a very intense and well-defined bouquet of lemon sherbet and lemon thyme. The palate is tensile on the entry thanks to a fine silver bead of acidity. This is detailed, precise and saline, with a composed and persistent finish that drags you back for more. It has breeding and class. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting in Savigny-lès-Beaune. Just bottled under Diam 10, the 2017 Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru opens in the glass with aromas of Meyer lemon, green apple, pastry cream and white flowers that's exactly as I remember it. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, elegantly textural and attractively vibrant, with good depth and concentration at the core, succulent acids and a long, precise finish. Pure and delicate, this is a lovely Chevalier in an understated, makeup-free style that confirms its excellent showing from barrel. While it's a little shut down after the mise en bouteille, the charm and expressiveness of the vintage mean that it is still quite open for inspection.William Kelley30th April 2019

Timeless legacy in Burgundy’s heart

Established in 1731, Maison Bouchard Père & Fils is one of the oldest and largest wine estates in the Côte d’Or. In 1995, the estate was acquired by the Henriot family, whose portfolio also includes William Fèvre, Beaux Frères, Château de Poncié and Champagne Henriot. Bouchard boasts vineyard holdings totalling approximately 130 hectares, including 74ha of Premiers Crus and 12ha of Grand Crus, with as many as 450 different individual plots. While the maison’s vast mosaic of holdings are weighted towards the Côte de Beaune, the Côte de Nuits is also a major focus.

The maison’s original vineyard was purchased by Joseph Bouchard in Volnay Les Caillerets in 1775. Not long after Beaune Grèves Vigne de l’Enfant Jesus followed. Now one of four Bouchard monopole vineyards, Beaune Grèves Vignes de l’Enfant Jésus was once owned by the Carmelite order of nuns and is the source of Bouchard’s flagship wine. Bouchard’s extensive suite of wines is produced and aged at the state-of-the-art, gravity-fed Cuverie Saint Vincent in Savigny-lès-Beaune. Once bottled, the wines are stored beneath the historic Château de Beaune, built in the 15th century by King Louis XI and purchased by Bernard Bouchard in 1820.

With almost 300 years of savoir-faire, from its unrivalled multiplicity of terroirs, Bouchard stands as one of the most eminent names in Burgundy winemaking.
