Established by Gaston Hochar in 1930, Château Musar is undoubtedly Lebanon`s top wine estate. Their flagship red is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Carignan, and Cinsault from vineyards in the Bekaa Valley, aged in French oak barrels for 12 months. The 1981 vintage offers a complex, evolving profile, with aromas of dried fruits, leather, and earthy undertones. The palate is elegant and refined, with smooth tannins and balanced acidity, revealing flavours of dark berries, tobacco, and subtle spice, leading to a long, savoury finish.
