Founded by Gaston Hochar in 1930, Chateau Musar stands as Lebanon`s premier wine estate. Their flagship red is typically a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Carignan, and Cinsault sourced from Bekaa Valley vineyards and aged in French oak. The 1980 vintage boasts a combination of supple leather and barnyard aromas on the nose, accompanied by soft cherries and bramble flavours on the palate. The wine also reveals mineral notes, refined fruit, and leather, concluding with a fine, long, and soothing finish marked by savoury nuances.
