Chassagne-Montrachet Philippe Colin 2012 is a white Chardonnay from the Côte de Beaune. Philippe Colin produces this wine from various parcels across the village, where the clay and limestone soils provide a balance of weight and mineral-driven acidity. The 2012 vintage was marked by low yields and high concentration, resulting in a palate of significant depth and textured richness. The wine undergoes fermentation and ageing in French oak to add subtle complexity without masking the site expression. It concludes with a clean, resonant finish of lemon zest, white flowers, toasted almond and wet stone.

Vinous
- Bright yellow with a green tinge. Exotic aromas of pear, green tropical fruits, lichee and menthol. Fat, sweet and nicely concentrated, with a creamy middle currently blurred by some unabsorbed alcohol. Not bad but a bit warm and loose-knit.
